Cardamom Price Analytics (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.
When you use Cardamom Price Analytics, we may collect the following information:
- Personal Information: Your phone number (used for authentication) and name/contact details when you create a profile or marketplace listing.
- Device & Identifiers: Firebase installation IDs, device type, and crash reports for analytics and stability.
- Location Data: We may collect general location details that you manually provide in your marketplace listings.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): Images, text, and pricing data that you voluntarily upload to our platform.
We use the collected information to:
- Authenticate your account via phone number.
- Display your contact information publicly to potential buyers/sellers when you create an ad.
- Provide analytics, market insights, and personalized advertising (via AdMob).
- Enforce our community guidelines and prevent abuse.
- Communicate with you regarding app updates or critical market alerts.
3. Data Storage & Sharing
- Storage: Your profile information and marketplace listings are securely stored in cloud databases (Google Cloud Firestore) using industry-standard encryption.
- Third-Party Services: We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers (like Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google AdMob) strictly to facilitate app functionality, analytics, and ad serving.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data and marketplace listings for as long as your account is active. Ad listings are stored in our database until they expire or are manually deleted by you or our moderators.
5. Account & Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data. You can delete individual listings directly within the app. For full account deletion, navigate to the Profile Settings in the app and select “Delete Account”. This will permanently remove your user profile, active listings, and personal data from our active databases.
6. Permissions
The app may request permissions for:
- Internet Access: To sync live auction prices and load marketplace data.
- Notifications: To send alerts for new auction results or listing approvals.
- Camera/Storage: To upload images for marketplace listings.
